In this project report, the following works have been reported: (i) It has been identified that the domestic electric load is 5.22 kwh/capita, while the load factor is 37%. (ii) Based on the available information, the following load forecasting models have been reported: (a) A non-parametric model, (b) A parametric model, (c) A non-parametric model using the e-cube method, and (d) A parametric model using the e-cube method. Result 1: The load forecasting report presented in the report can help the consumers and the utility managers in predicting the load demand so that the customers are not overcharged. The parametric load forecasting report proposed by Sengupta and Gupta can be used to predict the future electricity load and the corresponding error in the proposed model is 0.04%. Result 2: The load forecasting model proposed by Gupta cannot be used to predict the load demand due to the presence of the X-axis of the graph. The predicted error for the reported data is 0.18%. Result 3: The parametric load forecasting model proposed by Gupta and the non-parametric load forecasting model proposed by Sengupta can be used to forecast the load demand. The estimated parameters are as follows: (a) Parameter A = 0.0006 /t (b) Parameter B = 0.5025 (c) Parameter C = 0.0168/t+0.0006 (d) Parameter D = 0.5175 (e) Parameter E = 0.1674/t-0.0012 Result 4: The parametric load forecasting model proposed by Gupta and the non-parametric load forecasting model proposed by Sengupta using e-cube method can be used to predict the load demand. The predicted error is 0.04%. Result 5: The reported data (12 months) contains variations in the load demand and it can be used to establish the forecast error of 0.11%. Result 6: The non-parametric load forecasting model proposed by Sengupta and the parametric load forecasting model proposed by Gupta can be used to forecast the load demand.
